Current Situation

Situation Summary

Today (1/8), firefighters held the fire within a planned containment area and successfully established control lines. Crews were able to get a handle on a few flare-ups within the fire perimeter. Overnight, firefighters will continue to strengthen containment lines and create dozer lines to minimize the fire growth. 

A red flag warning remains in effect for the area until 6 p.m. Thursday.
