Current Situation
Situation Summary
Firefighters are on-scene of vegetation burning in the river bottom. The fuel is heavy and dense, and the fire is burning at a slow rate of spread. A night-flying helicopter is dropping water on the hot spots while crews on the ground work on containment lines. Pre-positioned fire engines from California Southern Region were able to be used as immediate need for strike teams that were requested.
