Current Situation
Situation Summary
UPDATE 09/28 12:00PM - Firefighters remained committed until approximately 2:00AM. Three engines, two water tenders and one dozer returned to the incident at 7:00AM to continue mopping up hot spots and completing containment lines. Resources will be committed until approximately 5:00PM
Firefighters responded to a traffic collision with fire. Upon their arrival, they reported a fully involved pickup truck that had rolled over. The fire had spread into adjacent vegetation. The forward rate of spread has been stopped and firefighters will remain on-scene overnight working on full containment. One firefighter has been transported to a local area hospital for treatment of a minor injury. The driver of the vehicle involved in the initial traffic collision was assessed by paramedics and declined to be transported to a hospital.
