Current Situation
Situation Summary
UPDATE 08/23/24 AT 4:00 P.M.: The fire has grown to 86 acres and is now 50% contained. The forward rate of spread has been stopped. Strong work by firefighters kept the fire from impacting the CHP located on I-10 WB. One lane of I-10 WB is closed in the area of the fire as fire resources work to build containment around the fire. Fire crews will remain on scene for approximately 3 hours.
