Numerous firefighting air tankers from throughout the State are flying fire suppression missions as conditions allow.

Status Update

Situation Summary

The fire has currently spread to 133 acres, as mapped by sensory aircraft. Approximately 200 firefighters are on scene. Air tankers are dropping Phos-Chek retardant, and helicopters are concentrating on hot spots. Engine companies are hiking in thousands of feet of hose to extend attack lines, while hand crews are building containment lines with hand tools. Bulldozers are also being used to construct containment lines.
