#NixonFire [UPDATE 8/5/24 @7AM] The fire remains at 5,222 acres and is now 82% contained.
Overnight, firefighters continued to make great progress on control and containment. Resources will continue to work in the fire area on mopping up hot spots and performing suppression repair.
👉Residents are advised to be aware of emergency crews who will remain in the area and to drive cautiously while near the fire area.
