Situation Summary
Tonight, Firefighters will continue strengthening containment and control lines, and support suppression repair efforts. Firefighters on the line will continue to remain hydrated and ready in the event the fire activity increases. Windy conditions are of high concern for fire line personnel and their life safety.
Weather Update: Today the dangerous heat will continue, with high temperatures between 106 and 112 degrees expected. So, the EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING will remain in effect. Afternoon relative humidity will drop into the teens. Typical diurnal winds can be expected throughout the day.
A slight cooling trend will continue on Monday and Tuesday, but temperatures will remain at dangerous levels. Therefore, the EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING will remain in effect through Tuesday evening.
