Current Situation
Situation Summary
This moring, CAL FIRE IMT 6 will be transitioning the incident to the CAL FIRE Butte Unit. Firefighters continue focusing on strengthening containment and control lines, and support suppression repair efforts. Firefighters on the line will continue to remain hydrated and ready in the event the fire activity increases.
Weather Update: Overnight and this morning, warm conditions prevailed, with low temperatures in the mid-70s to lower 80s. Relative humidity recovery was moderate overnight. Weak, northeasterly winds prevailed across the fire. Today, slightly cooler conditions are anticipated, but dangerous levels of heat are still expected. So, the EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING will remain in effect. Afternoon relative humidity will drop into the teens, with typical diurnal winds expected. The excessive heat will continue through Tuesday, with temperatures remaining well above seasonal normals.
