Situation Summary

UPDATE 6:15 p.m. - The fire remains 300 acres and firefighters have increased containment to 25%.  

 

UPDATE 4:15 p.m. - THe fire has grown to 300 acres and remains 5% contained.

 

UPDATE 3:30 p.m. - The fire is currently 250 acres and remains 5% contained. The fire is burning with a moderate rate of spread.

UPDATE 2:45 p.m. - The fire is currently 175 acres and 5% contained.  The fire is continuing to grow with a rapid rate of spread and burning in an area with difficult access for ground resources.  More information will be posted as it becomes available. 

UPDATE 1:15 p.m. - The fire is currently 150 acres and 0% contained.  

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to a vegetation fire burning near the intersection of Alessandro Bl and Gilman Springs Rd in the City of Moreno Valley.  The first arriving fire resources reported approximately 20 acres burning in light, flashy fuels.  The fire is currently 100 acres and growing with a rapid rate of spread.  More information will be posted as it becomes available.
