Current Situation
Situation Summary
Today, firefighters focused on strengthening control lines, continued mop-up operations, and extinguishing hot spots. A visit to the fire area highlighted recent fuels reduction efforts by CAL FIRE and surrounding property owners, which were crucial in protecting the community of Igo, the City of Redding Landfill, and our beloved Veteran's Cemetery. This proactive approach to fire management played a key role in achieving quick containment and limiting the fire's spread. Great job to all involved in keeping our communities safe.
