Status Update

Situation Summary

The complex consists of three large fires in Eastern Fresno County as well as several smaller fires. Crews continue overnight actively fighting fire and working on strengthening and improving containment lines. 

Current fire updates:

Flash Fire - Kings Canyon & Cove Rd, 3,600 acres, 15% contained.

Bolt Fire - Palomino & Elwood Rd, Wonder Valley area, 5,264 acres, 15% contained.

Hog Fire - Watts Valley & Hog Mt. Rd, 266 acres, 35% contained.

Fire is making significant runs, topography and winds are influencing fire behavior.

Fire is impacting communication and power infrastructure.

The Red Cross has an evacuation shelter open at Reedley College (995 N Reed Ave, Reedley, CA 93654) for evacuees displaced by the Flash Fire & Bolt Fire in
Fresno County. (People and small animals)
Volunteers will provide safe shelter, water, meals & additional resources to individuals & small pets & small fowl.
