The Douglas Fire has been 100% contained at 585 acres and stopped at Kiefer and Sunrise. Crews continue to patrol the area to ensure all hot spots are quickly addressed, preventing flare-ups. No structures were damaged, and no injuries were reported. The fire originated in an unattended campfire at a homeless encampment along the canal. The person who initiated the fire has been located and placed in custody by a Metro Fire Investigator and Sacramento County Park Rangers and has been charged with reckless burning PC452(c).
