Current Situation
Situation Summary
Firefighters are experiencing heavy mop-up operations in an area with large mulch piles, with some sections having mulch as deep as two to three feet over multiple acres. Despite the challenging conditions, there has been no increase in the fire's acreage. However, the containment will remain at 95% tonight. To assist in mop-up efforts, an excavator will be utilized to assist in spreading the mulch, which will allow for firefighters to fully extinguish any remaining hot spots.
