Current Situation

Situation Summary

UPDATE 10/9/2024 at 6:00 pm - The fire was 100% contained to 110 acres at 5:26 pm. Resources will remain on scene for several hours to extinguish hot spots within the burn scar.

UPATE 10/9/2024 at 3:30 pm - The forward rate of spread has been stopped at 110 acres and crews continue to work on the fire's containment. Firefighters will remain on scene for approximately the next 4 hours.

UPDATE 10/9/2024 at 2:00 pm - The fire is approximately 10 acres burning in the flats.

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to multiple reports of vegetation on fore in the area of Barhman Road x Highway 371 in Anza. The first arriving engine company reported two acres burning at a moderate rate of spread. The fire quickly grew to four acres, burning at a critical rate of spread. Additional ground and air resources have been requested.
