Current Situation
Situation Summary
10/2/2024: Stanislaus National Forest Firefighters are responding to a fire in the area of Herring Creek. Sized up at 5-7 acres, the fire is exhibiting a moderate rate of spread with some short-range spotting. There are currently no evacuations in place nor any structures threatened. Firefighters are patrolling the area to ensure any potential campers in the area are aware of the situation.
Responding to the fire are 5 engines, one Type 2 IA crew (Feather River) one water tender, one dozer, patrol 31, Air Attack 440, Air Tanker 82 and 83, and Helicopter 4AJ in addition to various command overhead.
