Current Situation

Situation Summary

Minimal fire activity was observed today. Steep terrain and dry heavy fuels continue to slow progress for firefighters in their efforts to reach full containment. Crews will work throughout the night to improve and strengthen control lines.

Thunderstorms are predicted, Friday night into Sunday, morning with precipitation of 1/10 to 1/2 of an inch. Motorists should drive cautiously and be aware of emergency vehicles working around the fire area.
