Current Situation

Situation Summary

A reconnaissance flight today confirmed a minimal amount of heat within the established perimeter of the fire. Mop-up operations and backhaul of fire equipment will continue tonight. Suppression repair is ongoing.

A Red Flag Warning is issued for tomorrow beginning at 11AM for high wind gusts and low relative humidity that could lower into the single digits. Temperatures are expected to cool over the weekend.

Damage Assessment inspections have been completed.

The Local Assistance Center located at the Weed Community Center, 161 East Lincoln Ave, Weed, CA. It is open on September 9, 10, & 11, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m..
