Current Situation
Situation Summary
Although fire activity has decreased, thermal imaging of the fire detected heat in isolated islands of dense vegetation. High temperatures, low humidity, and steep, rugged terrain continue to pose a challenge for firefighters as they make access to mop up the smokes identified on the steep slopes within the fire perimeter. Firefighters will continue to patrol the area until all identified hot spots are extinguished.
Road Closures
The California Highway Patrol has opened roads leading to residential neighborhoods. Roads leading to the fire perimeter remain closed to the public in both Amador and Calaveras Counties
Food Spoilage
Calavera County
There will be a food spoliage disposal located at the Wilseyville Transfer Station 4598 Blizzard Mine Road. Wilseyville, CA 95257
