Situation Summary

Current Situation:

Firefighters continued work to strengthen containment lines into the interior of the fire to check for any hot spots on the River Fire today. The fire remains at 2,619 acres
and containment has increased to 95%.

A large number of hazard trees exist in fire area. Crews are working to remove hazard trees near roads and structures to facilitate the repopulation of residents in
the fire area.

Ground resources and crews will continue tactical patrols around all areas of the fire while mopping up remaining hot spots.

Hot and dry weather continues at the fire location through tomorrow and the
weekend. Winds continue to be mainly terrain driven, with this trend expected to
continue into the weekend.

As the public continues to repopulate, please remain vigilant and watch for fire crews and utility resources on roadways. For more information on what to expect and look for after a wildfire, go to https://www.readyforwildfire.org/post-wildfire/after-a-wildfire/
